Make with me: Feminist explorations of visual storytelling through participatory drawing, performance, and photography.

I am currently completing my Doctoral Research at the University of the Creative Arts (UK) with the assistance of a Fast Forward Women in Photography studentship. My wonderful supervisory team is comprised of Professor Anna Fox, Professor Jean Wainwright, and Dr James Hyman.

Drawings & Photographs

The Night Diaries is a series of reflexive drawings and photographs designed to track my doctoral research. The title relates to the reflective time available while my family are sleeping. In the quiet hours of the night, I can think about my simultaneous roles (as artist, feminist, educator and researcher) in relation to the multiple axes of my identity (as mother, wife, dependent, immigrant, employee, etc). These contemplations of positionality are designed to inform my project and the collaborative making that forms part of my research.
