A day for students, teachers and school teams to explore creative changemaking in the curriculum.

Book event

This research event will bring together students and staff from Teacher Education, Childhood Studies and local primary schools to consider how social action and creative changemaking can be integrated into the primary curriculum. Children from Palm Bay School, the community’s Young Art Leaders, will present their projects to the group. There will be workshops from lecturers from the School of Teacher Education in the afternoon alongside a making workshop.

Over the course of the day, we will consider creative ways of advocating for change and focus on the collection of Cassi Namoda and how she uses her art to express themes of discovery and belonging.

Lunch will be provided and transport from Canterbury to Margate is available if required.

Workshops will be presented by Dr Emily Lau, Dr Joy Mower & Camille Serisier.
